BSCS Science Learning partnered with Jefferson County Public Schools in Louisville, Kentucky to design, develop, and study a version of the STeLLA professional learning program from 2016 through 2021. Louisville is the first region in the United States to benefit from research on STeLLA’s effectiveness at the high school biology level. Following a successful intervention in 2017-18, BSCS spearheaded the development of teacher leaders to support additional high school biology teachers take on the STeLLA approach.
